The new Maserati Ghibli S is a ground breaking model bringing a second four door saloon to the range.
The Maserati Ghibli S is an outstanding four-door saloon that showcases cutting-edge engineering and stunning design. It combines elegant appearance with high performance, resulting in an eye-catching model with a sporty flair. This car is sure to satisfy the most discerning of drivers.
The beautifully sculpted body has a bold personality – just as it did when the model launched in 1967. The prominent front radiator grille has rectangular edges and narrows at the top towards the assertive LED headlights. Frameless door windows enhance the sleek lines of the elongated body and wheelbase, which are among the longest in its class. The boot and rear end flow seamlessly from the cabin, with a distinct tapered design and two LEDs lighting up the mudguards.
Elegant design and sporty glamour continue inside the cabin, which incorporates soft leather seats and optional two-tone leather touches on the dashboard side panels and doors. Detailed stitching reflects the attention to detail for which Maserati is known – this is Italian design at its finest. The traditional Maserati clock with a bright blue face takes centre stage on the ergonomic dashboard, which boasts a refined touchscreen and bold chrome touches.
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engines powers this remarkable vehicle. It offers high performance, generating 410bhp at 5,500rpm, and a maximum torque of 550Nm at only 1,750rpm. The cutting-edge exhaust system is compact and lightweight, while the air valve system releases a powerful roar when you push the Sport button. Optional next-generation, eight-speed ZF automatic transmission provides precise gear shifting on the road. This responsive unit is an absolute pleasure to drive.
Technology and safety
The 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control display is the centre for entertainment and information function. Driver controls are accessed via a push-button cluster beside the gearbox for total ease of use. Up to 15 premium speakers have been crafted in collaboration with specialist engineers Bowers and Wilkins and Harman and Kardon to offer superior sound and excellent acoustics. Latest-generation airbags protect drivers and passengers, and fronts seats are fitted with active headrests for additional comfort. The Maserati Stability Programme helps prevent accidents, while additional safety functions include an active speed limiter and seatbelts with pyrotechnic pre-tensioners.
